How do I get a quote and buy insurance with Timi?

Which insurers issue the policies sold through Timi?
Your quote and policy identify your insurer. Chubb issues Northbound and Southbound policies; Quálitas issues motorcycle and semi-truck policies; HDI issues cargo policies per shipment. Car insurance in Mexico is issued by Quálitas or Chubb, depending on the options available for your vehicle. Timi Agente de Seguros y de Fianzas, S.A. de C.V. is the authorized insurance agency that sells these policies.
Is US car insurance valid in Mexico?
Do not assume your US or Canadian policy provides the Mexican liability coverage you need. Check its territory, limits and exclusions with your insurer. Timi offers Chubb Mexican Tourist Auto insurance for eligible foreign-plated vehicles; quote your dates and review liability or full coverage in the chat.
Do I need a TIP (temporary import permit) to drive into Mexico?
It depends on your route, vehicle and entry status. Check the applicable temporary vehicle import requirements with Banjercito before travelling. A vehicle import permit and an insurance policy are separate documents; buying insurance does not obtain or replace a permit.
