Do I need Mexican insurance for my ATV?
Yes, if it will be driven in Mexico. US and Canadian policies are not valid liability coverage in Mexico, and that applies to ATVs and UTVs with foreign registration the same as to cars. Timi sells Chubb Seguros México coverage for them.

Why the price changes
Three things move it: the days, the territory and, if you cover damage and theft, the value you declare for the ATV. All of Mexico is the most expensive territory — $190.00 a year in liability today; when we measured on 17 September 2026, Baja California and Sonora cost $151.00 and the northern border states $177.00. Liability-only does not depend on the ATV's value, which is why one day for all of Mexico is $23.01 whatever you ride.
