Towing a travel trailer or a boat trailer into Mexico does not change your vehicle price or your paperwork. What it does not do is insure the trailer itself — that is the part most sites leave vague.
Your Chubb Tourist Auto policy covers your vehicle and your liability to third parties — including damage you cause to someone else while you are towing. The trailer itself is not insured as a separate item of property, and neither is what you carry in it. If the trailer is stolen or damaged, that loss is not on this policy.
